COS’E’ IL FUNDRAISING?
Il fundraising o raccolta fondi è l’insieme delle attività che le aziende non profit mettono in atto per accrescere, sviluppare ed incrementare i fondi che esse hanno a diposizione per lo sviluppo sostenibile e per il perseguimento della propria mission ed è strettamente correlato al denaro raccolto attraverso questa funzione, al coinvolgimento delle persone che implementano le singole attività, siano esse volontari o dipendenti dell’organizzazione, ed eventualmente al saldo positivo fra ricavi e costi dei prodotti venduti per raccogliere fondi.
NON SOLO RACCOLTA FONDI BENSI’….
L’attività di fundraising non può essere semplicemente considerata come l’attività per “raccogliere fondi”, bensì per coltivare, far crescere e sviluppare le risorse necessarie alla realizzazione di un progetto sociale di una organizzazione non profit, promuovendo e rafforzando la sua identità sociale nella comunità di riferimento e nei confronti di una molteplicità di portatori di interesse.
Ciò comporta la capacità di investire nella struttura organizzativa della organizzazione non profit al fine di sviluppare il know-how e le competenze necessarie alla crescita, all’affermazione e all’evoluzione dell’organizzazione nella comunità di appartenenza. Significa costruire, mantenere e rafforzare nel tempo solide e durature relazioni di fiducia, con i diversi attori e con i donatori stessi e programmare una serie di attività basate su un’approfondita conoscenza dei donatori e sulla capacità di mantenere con essi un contatto comunicativo continuativo e differente per ciascun “target donatore” e in linea con la loro “capacità di donare”. Lo stesso vale anche per le aziende donatrici, la costruzione della fiducia, il mantenimento e il consolidamento delle relazioni restano i fattori fondati per la creazione di valide e proficue collaborazioni tra imprese e aziende non profit.
IL TEMA CRUCIALE DELLA RACCOLTA FONDI
Il tema della raccolta fondi diventa sempre più cruciale a causa dei problemi di finanziamento delle organizzazioni non profit dovuto a vari fattori, tra cui: la continua riduzione dei finanziamenti pubblici, l’aumento sia in termini qualitativi che quantitativi dei bisogni sociali che non vengono soddisfatti dalla pubblica amministrazione; l’aumento della concorrenza tra le organizzazioni non profit e il conseguente aumento della competizione nella raccolta dei fondi e la crescente difficoltà in termini di fidelizzazione dei portatori di interesse.
Implementare la raccolta fondi all’interno di un’organizzazione non profit, implica oggi creare consapevolezza e competenze in grado di gestire gli investimenti sociali che i cittadini, le imprese o la pubblica amministrazione scelgono di fare a favore di un’azienda non profit e che deve essere gestito in maniera efficace ed efficiente.
I TREND DI SVILUPPO
Gli ultimi anni sono stati caratterizzati, sul versante delle donazioni al non profit, dal consolidamento e, in taluni casi, dalla definitiva consacrazione delle campagne online e del crowdfunding ma molti segnali indicano che il 2019 potrebbe invece rivelarsi come l’anno del fundraising professionale.
Lo fanno presagire, in particolare, sia il forte aumento della domanda sul mercato del lavoro, che per la verità non è ancora in grado di rispondere con un’offerta adeguata di nuove professionalità, sia l’incremento di iniziative, tanto di dibattito quanto di formazione specifica, volte a rafforzare i processi di intermediazione degli atti di generosità.
